The scenery at Hatenohama was truly beautiful, and the coral reefs I saw while snorkeling were stunning. I also appreciated the free GoPro data. If I had to mention one thing, there aren’t many places to get out of the sun, so I felt it was essential to bring a rash guard or similar protection. Overall, I think it’s good value for the money.

On my first trip to Kumejima, my son and I wanted to visit Hatenohama Beach and go snorkeling, so I found this site and made a reservation! Since the typhoon had just passed, the weather, water clarity, and overall conditions were a bit disappointing, and we weren’t able to see the view of Hatenohama Beach we’d been looking forward to, so I’m giving it 4 stars. However, during the snorkeling, we saw sea turtles, scorpionfish, and sea snakes, and since the captain scattered some feed, we also saw plenty of fish! I’d love to come back and try again on a day with better weather!! Ms. Itokazu, who handled my reservation confirmation call, was very kind—she even gave me recommendations for dinner spots beyond just the tour details—and her explanations during the tour were thorough and made me feel very comfortable! The captain was also very flexible, making this a truly satisfying tour! Thank you very much.

We finally got to visit Hatenohama Beach, which my child had been wanting to go to for a long time! My child was thrilled by the vast white sandy beach and the beautiful ocean, and seemed to have a great time spotting lots of fish while snorkeling. The scenery was beautiful, and I really enjoyed snorkeling. However, there aren't many places to get out of the sun, so you need to be very thorough about sun protection. I got a little seasick, so it would have been perfect if I'd brought some motion sickness medication.
