What is EEF Beach?
Ihu Beach on Kumejima Island, Okinawa Prefecture, is known for its beautiful coral reefs and is one of the best beaches on Kumejima Island, selected as one of the 100 best beaches in Japan.
The white sand beach stretches for about 2 km, and the underwater world is ideal for snorkeling and diving, where you can see a wide variety of coral reefs and fish, and enjoy the beauty of the underwater world.
Located in the northwestern part of Kume Island, it is popular among tourists of all ages, including families and couples, because of its calm waves.
How to get to EEF Beach
The beach is accessible by car with free parking. Cars, rented bikes, and cabs are available.

(2)20 minutes drive from Kumejima Airport
25 minutes by Kumejima Town Bus Airport Line
Bus stop: get off at Eef Beach Hotel/Minshuku-mura-mae bus stop, a short walk from the bus stop.
How to play EEF Beach
The beach is shallow and the water is relatively shallow, allowing even small children to play.
We also recommend observing colorful tropical fish and coral reefs while floating in the ocean!
In addition, the area around the beach is well-equipped with showers, toilets, beach houses, and other amenities, allowing visitors to enjoy swimming in comfort.
Because this is not a *managed beach, there are no lifesavers or anti-lobster nets in place. Please enjoy yourself and take care of your own safety.
