Even though I was traveling alone, I was able to fully enjoy snorkeling without feeling self-conscious. The staff were very friendly and chatted with me, so I was able to immerse myself in the beauty of the ocean to the point where I didn’t feel lonely at all, even as a solo traveler. Swimming alongside the fish was incredibly relaxing and absolutely wonderful.

Customer satisfaction with the price is extremely high. The boat transfers and on-site itinerary are well-planned, resulting in a stress-free experience. Both the clarity of the seawater and the variety of tropical fish on display are well worth seeing. The instructors make sound judgments based on the situation, and the value for money is unquestionably excellent.

No matter which way you look, there are Instagram-worthy spots everywhere! The ocean is an unbelievably deep blue, and the contrast with the white sand creates a picture-perfect scene. The photos I took while snorkeling alongside the fish turned out beautifully—I’m so happy with them! If you’re on the fence, you should definitely bring your camera!

The facilities are excellent. The shuttle service is well-organized, making transportation extremely smooth. The water at Hatenohama Beach is even clearer than expected, and there’s an abundance of tropical fish. Safety measures are thorough, resulting in a high level of satisfaction.

Even though it was after the full moon and the tides were quite strong, the guide provided excellent navigation. Since there are times when the boat travels out into the open sea for extended periods, anyone concerned about seasickness should ask about it in advance. We were blessed with good weather and were able to fully enjoy the white sandy beach.

We participated as a family, and our kids had a blast. The crystal-clear water and white sandy beach were absolutely breathtaking. The staff were kind to the kids and gave them safe snorkeling instructions, which put my mind at ease as a parent, and it was wonderful to see my kids’ beaming smiles.

Hate no Hama—the place I’ve always dreamed of visiting—is totally worth the trip~♪ The water was incredibly clear, and I was blown away by swimming with so many colorful tropical fish! It’s super convenient since transportation is included☆ If I had to nitpick, it would’ve been perfect if there had been just a small mirror in the changing booths! You guys should definitely check it out!

The itinerary went exactly as planned, and we were able to go snorkeling at Hatenohama. The water was just as clear as I’d imagined, and we even saw some tropical fish. The included transportation made getting there a breeze, and I think the experience was well worth the price.

At first, I was a little worried I might get seasick, but we arrived at Hatenohama in the blink of an eye, and I was relieved. Next, I got ready for snorkeling and went into the water—the tropical fish swam right up to me, and I found myself swimming away, completely absorbed! If I had to nitpick, it would have been perfect if there had been a shower closer by to rinse off after getting out of the water…!

The included transportation was a huge help. Everything went very smoothly, from our arrival at Hatenohama Beach to the start of our snorkeling session. We were able to see many tropical fish in the crystal-clear water, and the guides were very kind—it was a truly satisfying experience.

With emerald-green seas and white sandy beaches stretching as far as the eye can see, it truly cleansed my soul... When I peered into the water, I saw so many cute fish—it felt as if I’d become a mermaid, and it was so soothing... It was a blissful moment that flew by in the blink of an eye. I wasn't very confident in my swimming ability and was a little nervous, but thanks to the instructor's careful guidance, even a beginner like me was able to do it! As soon as I got into the water, I was surrounded by tropical fish, and all my fears vanished. If you're on the fence about going, I definitely think you should give it a try!

Hate no Hama was seriously amazing lol. The ocean was so beautiful it was crazy, and seeing tropical fish swimming right up close totally got me hyped! The guide was funny too—it was the best (lol). I definitely want to come back!

I went with my boyfriend! With the white sandy beach and crystal-clear ocean, we took some really beautiful photos together—it made for such a great memory! The tropical fish were cute, too! If I had to nitpick, it would have been perfect if the shaded area for storing our belongings had been just a little bigger!

The island's location and value for money are excellent. The guide handled safety well and did a good job of leading us to spots with tropical fish. If I had to nitpick, the steps leading from the boat to the beach could have been a little more stable—otherwise, it would have been perfect—but overall, I was very satisfied.

The guide was very helpful and showed us spots where there were lots of fish. The coral reef was beautiful, too, and it was a wonderful three hours where we were able to fully enjoy the great outdoors of Kumejima.

I got a little seasick on the boat ride there, but seeing the beauty of Hatenohama made all that disappear. I enjoyed the snorkeling too, but I’ll give it 4 stars to account for the seasickness.

I’ve been to Kumejima several times, but this time I went ashore at Hatenohama as part of a different tour. The scenery and water clarity were as stunning as ever—it’s a place that never fails to impress, no matter how many times I visit. The staff were experienced and reliable in guiding us, and I got to spend plenty of time playing with the tropical fish, so I was completely satisfied once again.

The ocean at Hatenohama was so insanely beautiful it was almost unreal—it seriously got me super hyped, lol. There were tons of tropical fish while I was snorkeling—it was seriously amazing! It comes with a shuttle service, so you can just pop over for a quick visit, and the value for money is absolutely incredible! If you’re going to Kumejima, you should definitely book this, lol.

Thank you for the Hatohama snorkel tour! We have been to many places in Japan and abroad, but this tour was by far the best private tour! We were picked up at our hotel, snorkeled and walked on the beach for a full 3 hours, and were dropped off at the ferry terminal! We were able to get the data from the GoPro we rented while snorkeling, and you also took a lot of pictures with your phone, so we were very happy to be able to keep our memories in a tangible form 😊. The shower room at the Kumi station was very clean and well equipped with shampoo and other amenities, so we were able to shower comfortably after snorkeling. I'm sorry to have made you flap your hands, but I really enjoyed the tour with you two! Thank you, Shohei and Kenyu. Every time I look back at the photos, it warms my heart. ☺️ If you go to Kumejima again, please take us around for a full day spearfishing tour! Thank you so much for your help. We look forward to seeing you again!
