The scenery at Hatenohama was truly beautiful, and the coral reefs I saw while snorkeling were stunning. I also appreciated the free GoPro data. If I had to mention one thing, there aren’t many places to get out of the sun, so I felt it was essential to bring a rash guard or similar protection. Overall, I think it’s good value for the money.

They’ll pick you up from the airport and take you to the store, so it’s a breeze even if you have a lot of luggage! The kei car I rented was very maneuverable, so it was super easy to drive even on Kumejima, where there are lots of narrow roads♪ It came with a navigation system, so I was able to sightsee without getting lost! I highly recommend it!

I used this service for my solo trip. They picked me up at the airport, and since I was able to chat with the friendly staff about the island on the way to the shop, I felt completely at ease using the service even though I was traveling alone. I took a leisurely drive along the coastline in a compact car and was able to fully enjoy the natural beauty of Kumejima.

The car itself was clean and came with a navigation system, so it was worth the price. However, I was a little confused because the meeting spot for the airport shuttle was a bit hard to find. Since it was a kei car, I felt it lacked a bit of power on hills, but it wasn’t a problem for driving around the island.

Last time we enjoyed some water activities, so this time we decided to try something different and give dune buggy riding a shot. Racing through the off-road terrain in a big dune buggy was even more thrilling than I could have imagined, and the exhilarating feeling of cutting through the wind was simply irresistible. The photos from the GoPro we received were also amazing—they really captured the excitement of the experience—and I definitely want to do this again the next time I visit Kumejima.
