Observation of humpback whales from the ship can be enjoyed from the following three locations

◆Bow Area
This is the spot where you can observe whales at the closest distance. The powerful jumps and movements of the tail fins are sure to excite you! It also offers a wide field of view suitable for photography.
◆1st floor deck
Because of the low line of sight, powerful photographs of whales can be taken. However, visibility is limited due to the lack of open space in front.
◆2nd floor deck
The height of the boat makes it easy to see a wide area and spot whales. It is also recommended for those who get seasick easily.

Any photographic equipment will do. Smartphones also do a pretty good job.

Telephoto zoom lenses are commonly used, but wide-angle lenses can also be utilized at close range.

The Olympus TG series is popular and conveniently waterproof. Models with a high-power zoom function are also recommended.

Whales and boats may come close together, but be sure to stay around the boat.

Whale swims are basically wide shots, so a wide-angle lens or fish-eye lens with a wide angle of view is recommended.
