Q. Is it safe to swim in the surrounding ocean?There are no lifeguards on the beaches around Okutakejima. Please understand that all leisure activities on the beach are at your own risk.
Please be careful when swimming due to the fast currents in the area.Q. Is there anything I should be aware of regarding the weather?Please make your own decision on how to respond to inclement weather or cancel the camp.
Also, please check the weather conditions at all times, as the Okubu Bridge may be closed when a typhoon is approaching or a storm surge warning is issued.Q. Can I use the shower?There are separate shower rooms (men's and women's) for the exclusive use of campground users. Hot showers are available for a fee. (200 yen per 10 minutes).Q. Are there any other manners that should be observed?This is a campground for everyone. Any activity that disturbs other users or compromises public safety is prohibited.
In addition, we ask that the following considerations be made to avoid burdening nature.
Take your garbage home (for day campers) or dispose of it in designated areas (for overnight campers).
Clean up spills properly.
Take the charcoal home or dispose of it in a designated area (it will not decompose naturally).
Throw leftover drinks down the sink.
