The trip to Hate no Hama Beach was beautiful. The tour guides were so helpful. We took an afternoon tour, and there was no one else on the island—it was amazing. The snorkeling was great, and the staff even had fresh sashimi waiting for us on the boat. We didn’t speak Japanese, but they were very accommodating and friendly!

The day before the typhoon, I changed my plans and arrived on Kume Island. Thinking I absolutely had to visit Hatenohama at least once, I signed up for a snorkeling tour the very next morning as soon as I arrived. I figured the weather would be rough for two or three days and the tour would likely be canceled. Then it looked like the tour might be canceled the next day.　So I received a message asking, “We’re rushing to organize an afternoon tour today—would you like to join?” It was a tight squeeze to make the shuttle, but I gladly accepted. As a result, I was able to experience the wonderful Hatenohama Beach—even though the waves were a bit rough. The staff were very kind, and I got to see lots of fish. Thank you very much.

The pure white sands and blue waters of Hatenohama were so beautiful that every spot I photographed was Instagram-worthy! The photos of the fish I took while snorkeling were adorable, too—I was completely satisfied! Since the tour included transportation, I was able to focus on taking pictures of the scenery even while we were traveling. If you want to capture some wonderful photos, I highly recommend this tour!

All the staff were polite and cheerful, which made me feel at ease! The weather looked like it was going to be bad on our scheduled day, but they offered an alternative plan, so we were able to go snorkeling and enjoy the view at Hatenohama—it was a huge help! During the snorkeling, they scattered food for the fish, so we got to see lots of them! We were free to use cameras and other equipment, so we took plenty of photos!
