Gushigawa Castle Ruins

The ruins of Gushigawa Castle are the remains of an unusual castle built on a cliff jutting out onto the coast.

Also inside the castle is a cavity that leads to the sea, known as a heafchimie (meaning "fire pit" in the local language), which is said to have been used in the past for evacuation and unloading.
