What is Kumejima Tsumugi Yuimarukan?
This is a facility where visitors can learn about the history and working process of Kumejima's traditional handicraft "Kumejima Tsumugi".

Inside the facility, Kumejima Tsumugi silk is displayed and sold, and hands-on workshops are held where visitors can actually experience weaving and dyeing Kumejima Tsumugi silk.

How to play Kumejima Tsumugi Yuimarukan
Kumejima Tsumugi is designated as a national important intangible cultural asset, and visitors can learn about the history of Kumejima Tsumugi and Okinawan culture from the materials on display.

Free events such as a Kumejima Tsumugi silk dressing and coaster weaving experience are also available.
You can take home the Kumejima tsumugi you made during the experience, making it a great way to create memories of your trip!
